2026 Master Agreement Negotiations - Bulletin #4

May 15, 2026

The full text of the Tentative Agreement reached between NABET-CWA and ABC, Inc. on Friday, May 1, 2026, along with a non-technical summary of the proposed changes, is now available for download from the Local and Sector NABET-CWA websites.  NABET-CWA Locals will be holding informational meetings about the content of the Tentative Agreement where members may ask questions, so please be on the lookout for notifications of the dates and times for those meetings.

The ratification vote is being conducted electronically by a company called BallotPoint Election Services. To receive a ballot, you MUST have a current email address on file with your NABET-CWA Local. ONLY members who are in good standing and who have worked 20 days or more under the NABET-CWA/ABC Master Agreement during the period from February 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026, will be eligible to receive a ballot.  To ensure that eligible members receive ballots, we are asking that members update or confirm their contact information as soon as possible via this link:

Email notifications of ballots will be issued, and voting will open, on May 26, 2026, at 12:00 pm EDT (9:00 am PDT).  If after May 26th  you have not received a ballot and feel that you should have, please contact your Local Office for assistance.  The voting will close on June 15, 2026, at 3:00 pm EDT (12:00 pm PDT).

The NABET-CWA/ABC Network Negotiating Committee is unanimously recommending ratification of the proposed Tentative Agreement.

In addition to the proposed wage increases of 3%, 4%, 3%, and 3.75% through the life of the Agreement, there are significant improvements to terms and conditions across many groups and areas within the contract.  This includes enhancements for daily hires, both working in Sports operations in the field, as well as for daily hires who work the equivalent of full-time hours at the Network and the OTV station group.  Additionally, previous Company imposed wage scale constraints involving Newswriters in the F (San Francisco), K (Chicago), and O (Los Angeles) Units, and A Unit Engineers working at KGO-TV in San Francisco have been measurably eased for the first time in many years.

Please continue to monitor Sector and Local Union websites and check email notices for further updates.

In Solidarity,

Your NABET-CWA-ABC Network Negotiating Committee
