BULLETIN #11
December 15, 2023
NABET-CWA has tabulated the votes for the NBCUniversal Master Agreement ratification balloting. Eligible NABET-CWA members employed at NBCU have ratified this contract offer by an overwhelming majority. Ratification ballots were processed, and votes were tallied by election committees in New York, Washington DC, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
The Union's Bargaining Committee expresses their gratitude to the NABET-CWA members working across the country at NBCUniversal, for their solidarity, support and fortitude during this process.
The previous Master Agreement at NBC Universal expired on March 31, 2022, although terms and conditions of the contract remained in full force and effect because of an extension agreement reached between the Union and the Company prior to the start of negotiations. The newly ratified agreement covers broadcast engineers and technicians, newswriters, staging services personnel, and couriers at NBC network operations such as NBC Sports, NBC News, and NBC Entertainment, as well as TV station operations in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C.
Most terms and conditions of the new agreement will go into effect immediately, unless otherwise stated in any individual proposal contained in the November 8, 2023, tentative agreement. Some economic provisions, such as wages increases will be effective beginning the next full payroll period following today’s date. The new NBC Master Agreement will remain in effect through March 31, 2027.
Further information about the new terms and conditions of the NBC Master Agreement can be found on Local websites.
