Local 11 Scholarships

Please be advised  that  the application for  the Local  11 Scholarship Awards  ($500.00 per year)  are  now  available  at  the  Union  office,  145 West  30th Street,  12th Floor.  They are available via mail, email, on the Local 11 website at www.nabetlocal11.org or can be picked up Monday thru Friday from 9:00AM - 5:00PM.

The following are the eligibility requirements for the Local 11 Scholarship Award:

1)  The Award is open to any retiree or active member of Local 11 in good standing.  The member or retiree may apply for himself or sponsor a member of his immediate family (wife, husband, son or daughter).

2) The applicant  must  presently  be a fully  matriculated graduate  or undergraduate student at any accredited  college,  institute,  university  or any other facility  of higher  learning.

3)  This Local 11 Award shall be granted only once to any applicant,   but no other Award would be a cause of ineligibility.

REQUIREMENTS

1) Applicants must submit proof of present attendance at the school of higher education, i.e., copy of Fall 2017 or Spring 2018 Bursar's or Registrar's receipt or class schedule listing 12 credits or more.

2) Applicants must sign the disclaimer attached to the application.

3) To qualify, all forms must be completely filled out.

TERMS

1)  The Award is good for a maximum of 4 years within a 5-year continuous period and may be used in combination (if needed) of undergraduate and graduate work  if the applicant  has less than 4 years of undergraduate work  remaining  and is accepted for graduate study.

METHOD OF SELECTION

1) The winner or winners shall be drawn by lot.

2) Applications must be received at the Local 11 office no later than 5:00 PM, January 31, 2018.
