                       Position:    Meteorologist/Reporter

Compensation and Benefits include: Base Salary ($125,000- $135,000 year depending on experience) and eligibility for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Plan, Life Insurance Coverage, Disability Benefits, Tuition Assistance Program, PTO.


DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: CBS News Colorado is looking for a meteorologist to drive our First Alert weather brand on air and behind the scenes. This person will be the weather anchor for our morning and noon newscasts. Candidate must be a great live reporter and enjoy being in all of Colorado’s amazing and changing weather. Accountabilities include but are not limited to mastery and consistent usage of weather equipment and other tools. Strong and accurate forecasting. Engaging on air presentation. Strong social media skills. Knowledge of WSI Max Reality and Mountain Weather patterns.

REQUIREMENTS:   Medium to Large market TV broadcasting experience. Must be willing to work a flexible shift including mornings, fill-in on weekends, and holidays. 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: TV experience and street reporting experience.  Minimum five years in broadcasting.  Certified Broadcast designation from AMS and/or NWA
