CWA Applauds Biden's Executive Order Raising the Minimum Wage for Hundreds of Thousands of Workers
PRESS RELEASE
President Biden's executive order raising the minimum wage for federal contractors to $15 will transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of workers who have been earning poverty wages for far too long.
CWA members are thankful that President Biden has recognized the urgency of helping these workers and that he's using his executive power to do it.
In this time of crisis for workers, Biden's actions in the first 100 days of his presidency have been reassuring. He has appointed labor leaders to run the Labor Department, publicly supported workers' freedom to join unions, and made it clear that passing the PRO Act and other labor law reform bills will be a crucial piece of his presidency.
CWA members will be doing their part to make sure Congress knows they must follow suit and make workers' rights their top priority.
